Here’s a picture of a frozen RV AC roof top unit. These units work on air flow and once this is frozen air flow is restricted. Freezing up is usually caused by a dirty evaporator grill where the dust and dirt prevent the water from draining down and out and it freezes. It can cause water to leak down into the RV or, worse, crack the refrigerant lines, and that means a new AC!
So these units should be cleaned every year or so, especially if you have animals. Call me if you need help with this service.
