🎨 A LOST ART — THE CLASSIC PINSTRIPE! 🚘

There was a time when hand-painted pinstriping was a common finishing touch on vehicles. Today, it’s becoming somewhat of a lost art.

I was fortunate enough to learn how to hand-pinstripe vehicles from my boss Stan Schmidt at my very first collision repair job. It’s a skill I’ve carried with me throughout my career and one I still appreciate today.

As much as I’d like to take credit for hand-painting these stripes on this Ford F-150, they’re actually pinstripe tape! 😁

While the methods may have changed, I still appreciate the classic look and the little details that give a vehicle its character.

Some traditions are worth keeping alive—even if they’ve gone from a paintbrush to pinstripe tape!

🔧🔥 RESTORATION UPDATE — 1952 GMC CARRYALL! 🔥🔧

Old-school looks with modern muscle! 💪

Our 1952 GMC Carryall restoration project is making some serious progress, and we’re excited to share a little of what’s been happening behind the scenes!

This isn’t your average restoration. We’re combining classic styling with modern upgrades to create something truly unique!

🛠️ Here’s what we’ve been working on:

✅ Custom Steel Floor – We’ve retrofitted a steel bed floor from a 1987 Chevrolet truck into the Carryall, giving it a solid foundation while maintaining that classic truck character.

✅ Smoothed Firewall – We’ve been busy cleaning up and smoothing the firewall for a much cleaner, custom appearance under the hood.

✅ LS Engine Swap – We’re currently working on fitting the LS engine to the body and frame, bringing modern V8 performance to this vintage GMC!

Projects like this take plenty of planning, fabrication, and attention to detail. It’s the work you don’t always see in the finished product that makes a custom build special!

Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Our longer Monday–Thursday hours give us more time during the week while allowing our team to wrap things up a little earlier on Fridays.

🚨 NEW PROJECT IN THE SHOP! 🚨

We’re excited to welcome a very cool piece of automotive history into the Perfection Auto Body Restoration Department — a 1920 Ford Model T Truck!

At more than 100 years old, this Model T has plenty of history behind it, and we’re looking forward to giving it the attention and craftsmanship it deserves. We’ll be sharing updates along the way as this project comes together!
