Niehaus Restoration Products-NRP

Niehaus Restoration Products-NRP Production of quality replacement body panels and parts for foreign and domestic cars. I focus mainly on panels that are not readily available.

In 1991 Niehaus Restorations began as a full blown restoration shop taking cars from the ground up restoring everything from the chassis, engine, drive train, body and interior. As the need grew for body panels that were not available on the market I logically made what we needed. As the years have passed I am slowing down on the major restorations and I am just focusing on producing very good qua

lity body panels for various cars and selling them through N.R.P, Niehaus Restoration Products, a division of Niehaus Restorations. If you have a specific need for a body part for your automobile please call or e-mail me and I will see how it fits in with what we do.

I’m cleaning up pictures on my computer….this was my first car, 1971 Pontiac Le Mans Sport. My cousin bought it new in 1971, sold it to me in 1981 and bought it back from me in 1991. It was originally blue with a black vinyl top. I stripped it in the late 80’s and changed it to Black Cherry. These pictures were taken last summer, my cousin sold it, it went to Clear Lake, Iowa. It has held up well over 30 years!

This is a serious blast from the past! I was surfing the web and stumbled across this 1964 Grand Prix, it’s a 389 Tri-Power car. I did the body and paint and the owners did everything else, they were super talented with cars. I think we finished it around 1994-95. It was featured in High Performance Pontiac in 1996 and won a ton of awards everywhere it went.

Needed to work on something to keep from going loony with all this social distancing. 1935 Ford grill, lower inner support. Been sitting in my shop for almost a year, the customer has been waiting for me to have some “spare time” to repair. Still need to enlarge the mounting holes to factory specs (always do that LAST in case you need to make adjustments….crowd holes in any direction). Complicated piece with compound curves, recessed ends and wraps underneath too. I think I’m good for another day.

Ready to pull my flexible pattern from the roadster cowl and cut out a blank. I'm going to make the part large enough to eliminate the cowl vent on the coupe.

I haven't posted in a long time. I'm sitting here waiting for paint to dry on parts in the paint booth so I thought I would share a little about a N.R.P. upcoming project.

This is a 1935 Ford 5-Window Coupe that is so clean and rust free that it boggles my mind every time I walk by it. I've moved it inside against the wall, it's the first thing you see when walking in.

I was trying to sell it for a long-time friend of mine who bought it out of California in the 90's and had it stored inside ever since. The offers were so ridiculous and people are so out of touch with reality that I bought it myself.

I've always loved the Roadster and think that someone should make a conversion kit to turn a Coupe into a Roadster - Upper cowl, tops of doors, rear upper quarters/body section.

BTW - Sitting in the other part of the shop is Roadster cowl, doors, rear body.....hmm.....wonder what's going to happen here.
