Visions week out at MidAmerica Outdoors round 4 was a roller coaster with high’s and low’s! The VS team did manage to get on the podium! We love to get together and make some awesome memories! We are going to gear up check the buggy’s and get ready for round 5!

Hey friends and family!!!

This last race weekend at MidAmerica Outdoors was a little bit different. The VS Racing crew was missing our "S" to our "VS" crew. Unfortunately, Zach Smith, Marissa Smith, and Joel Smith were unable to make the race due to having a sick baby and the unforseen car troubles (story of our lives with these amazing race cars). We sure did miss them!!!

Our tiny racer, Kayden Vanover, did an amazing job this weekend. She got the VS Crew on the box with a 3rd place win. She got a little scared last year when she almost put the car on its side. However, she came out on her main as fast as she ever was. To say we are all incredibly proud of her is an understatement.

Austin Vanover last minute, he realized he had a split chassis and was unable to run "Ziptie." He ended up stripping Ziptie and rebuilding a whole new car with the help of his dad and brothers in 24 hours (absolutely amazing, right). Unfortunately, we discovered a few gremlins that prevented him from competing in his heat and main.

Morgan Vanover had a decent weekend. She came out on a brand new track and didn't do the best in the heat. However, in her main, she was gunning for the front. Unfortunately, her car died on the 4th lap of her main when she was holding 3rd on her way to 2nd.

Racing always comes with ups and down, we are incredibly grateful we get to ride the racing waves together. Visions is our next race, which will be 6/12-6/16. All 5 cars will be tip top (on a low budget, of course! 🤣). We can't thank our family and friends enough!

Round #2 at Wheatland Missouri, Lucas Oil Speedway was an amazing track but not so sweet for the VS crew!

Our tiny racer kayden ( #22) raced her little heart out pushing her buggy as fast as it would let her she took 4th in her heat and main with a 4th overall!

Morgan Vanover ( #6) you can tell she loves that track girl was on fire wheeling the heck out of her buggy! Unfortunately with some spinouts she ended up 6th in her heat and 7th in her main taking 6th overall.

Marissa Smith ( #14) had a heck of a time starting with practice. Started having power issues but it held together through the heat, and with a few spinouts she ended up 7th in the heat. she was gaining ground quickly in the main chasing down 4th when her buggy lost all power leaving her unable to finish, with a DNF in the main placing her 8th overall.

Austin Vanover ( #2) came out ready to rock! He was looking great coming out 8th in his qualifying, went out for the heat came in a little hot in a corner and ended up hitting the wall taking him out for the rest if the races!

Zach Smith ( #121) Couldn’t wait to hit the track and get after it! Pushing his buggy with all that it would give him he took 9th in his qualifying. Came out in the heat started over heating and his steering got messed up he ending up 15th in the heat. Due to the steering messed up and overheating he was unable to run in the main!

Joel ( #211) He is still trying to dial in his suspension but holds it together on the track taking 14th in his heat and 18th in the main placing him 17th overall.

Definitely wasn’t the best weekend for the VS crew but we are going to get buttoned up and ready for round #3

What a whirlwind of a weekend VS Racing had out at Mid America Outdoors Round 1.

Let’s kick it off the the best racer on the team, Kayden Vanover! She came out ready to give it her all, and she pushed her buggy to the max. She took 5th in her heat and 6th in her main for an overall 5th place. She definitely puts on a great show! (Youth stock)

Morgan Vanover didn’t come to play! This woman slayed in the women’s turbo. She took 1st in the heat, 3rd in the main. She brought the 2nd place trophy home for the VS crew! (Women Turbo)

Marissa Smith was ready for the weekend, but buggy wasn’t! She got T-Boned out the gate in the heat and came back to the main for redemption. She was fighting hard until she broke the lower A arm and axle on the front right side. We will get it all back together and have her come back out swinging. (Women Turbo)

Austin Vanover, what can't we say about the guy that keeps us going! He has worked his tail off, getting all of us ready for round 1! He was kicking butt in the heat running 3rd until an axle decided it didn’t want to be on the buggy anymore. He started dead last and came back picking off racers one at a time coming out 14th, taking 18th overall. (Pro Turbo)

Zach Smith, man, was he ready to get out and race his buggy after it being out of commission most of last year! We were about to change to a different tune when his brakes decided to lock up, making him not able to run either race. (Pro Turbo)

Joel Smith came out after putting his buggy together in a few short days. He took 3rd in his heat and 7th in his main. He needs to make some adjustments to get his buggy dialed in, but he came out to show what he could do and took 7th overall. (Expert Turbo)

Round 1, we had higher expectations for the weekend. With some difficulties and brakes, we are not where we want to be, but we are going to fix what’s broken and come in HOT for round 2!

Hey, all you race fans!

Here is just a quick little update on where we are currently in preparation for 2023 season out at MidAmerica Outdoors in Jay, OK. Zach Smith car is ready for powder coating, Austin Vanover car needs Whalen's Speed R&D magic touch of love, Marissa Smith car is ready for wrap, Morgan Vanover car is in desperate need of a steering rack, Kayden's car is almost race ready thanks to Clayton Speaks at UTV Thingz. We just need to mount her new race seat, wait for a few things to arrive, and then bolt everything back together. Huge shout out to Don't Lift Performance for getting these cars race ready!
