If we’re being honest, in the trucking industry the air brake system is probably one of the most under maintained systems on a heavy duty vehicle. This vehicle had 780,000 miles on it with its original air drier filter in place and had spring a massive leak. While they definitely got their longevity out of this one, it did end up costing them a break down, repair costs, and most importantly their time waiting for repairs to be completed. They were fortunate enough to just need a couple items to get back on the road but it could have been much more costly if they continued to ignore the maintenance requirements of air systems. A little education and some guidance can go a long way in preventing break downs before they happen, and saving lots of money and down time!

This unit came in to us with no lights, blowing fuse after fuse, and some confusion after having steps installed. After some searching we found not only were steps welded in place, but they also welded three wires together in the process creating this short, and unit down time.
