Hello all, I hope that you've been having a good race season. We're at a pivotal track decision here at B&D and need the racers input. As you all know, owning, maintaining and running a race facility is very challenging. Maintaining B&D is very labor intensive, especially without club members or outside funding. B&D isnt a business and donations for race entries go back into the track immediately after a race or practice. I.e. water, power, waste etc. We had our first inaugural this year and it took tons of work, just for one race. The feedback i received was, fun, cool layout, laid back and nice atmosphere. The concerning feedback back was .....rocks. unfortunately, central alabama is full of river rocks and theres nothing i can do about that. David and I had 12 triaxle loads of pure clay brought in before the build and it didn't seem to be enough. That alone was a small fortune. With the flooding rains, drought and hurricane, it exposes rock. No way to get around it. The ONLY way i see that I can maintain this track is for everyone to form a club here to help out or turf it. Im leaning towards turf and pavers in problematic areas, like a euro track? Turf the whole racing surface? Facts are, this is alabamas largest permanent track. Tallest, stand, its now totally lighted. Stand is going to be covered and live stats will be on a big screen. David has even purchased video equipment to livestream races! Help me make this track the best it can be and a premiere track. Its 95% there. I just need help and input. I get tons of interest and questions. You guys can actually answer your own questions by making this happen. Lets brainstorm this track and get it going. Btw: how are you guys servos holding up? The guys that really know me and my race program, know that I try anything once and sometimes twice. I buy all of these new revised parts, like its going to really help me lol. I will tell you, the best tried and true upgrade I've noticed is my servo game. I started with savox years ago. Had a couple crap out. Reefs was no good for me. Send it was tough, just twitchy. Mks was good, but extremely noisy because it's constantly trying to find center. My protek sbl took a bad tumble and got the shakes. I've been using nitropro for the last two years and have had ZERO issues. I've had some nasty crashes and landings too! Im not sponsored by them or anyone lol. They're just awesome servos. Met the guys from nitropro at sic, cool dudes and hilarious. Ain't going to lie, I like their artwork on the servos too. Hello all. Track still remains the same as the last update. Lights are up and functional. I planned on starting the roof on the drivers stand, however, the wife and I got into a tussle with covid. The track surface needs some maintenance and water. Once the temps drop a little, I'll be going hard on it. I may do a couple of big races before the season ends. My goal is to have EVERYTHING complete for next season and have a legitimate schedule. However, i still need help to maintain the track surface from time to time. The track is here and will always be here. I pay the electrical bill every month. Im also kicking around the idea of going euro. Brian Burnette sent me some photos of the additive they'll be running at peach state.

Update 7-30-26:
Lights are complete. Ill be working on the roof if anyone wants to help

Update: light poles are up and set. Its going to lit up like daylight during night events. 7 triple headed, strong led per pole! Anyone that can help me with the roof cover over the stand? You guys want to race, I want you to race, let's make this happen!

Hello All! As usual? The track has been getting beat down with rain. The materials are at the track to do the roof on the stand, power poles and lights on the outer perimeter. Things would speed up nicely if I could get help to with us getting this done. David has provided all the materials. He also bought a 58" screen to view livetime data. Im going to recess this under the window of the booth, behind plexi. Hes also bought multiple video streaming devices. NEED HELP
