How long have you had your RV with a tankless water heater? Have you had it descaled? Descaling an RV tankless water heater removes hard water mineral deposits like calcium and magnesium that solidify inside the heat exchanger's tiny pipes when heated. Without regular cleaning, this scale buildup restricts water flow, reduces heating efficiency, causes temperature fluctuations, triggers error codes, and can permanently ruin the unit.
You’d be surprised how bad it can get even after one year of use.
So, tank or tankless you need to have that descaled once a year.

Today I replaced the Dometic 300 toilet in our camper with a Dometic 410. The 410 is the same footprint as the 300 so it fit perfectly. The 310 would not fit. Bonus, I didn’t need to do any improvised plumbing.
So if you are considering an upgrade the 410 is your choice.
