Only one SUV (MAZDA CX-5) out of 20 received a GOOD rating in the new IIHS side-impact crast test. The test involves a heavier and faster barrier to better represent crashes. Stop by and visit me at Jake Sweeney Mazda and find out why the Mazda CX-5 is the safest SUV in its class.

IIHS is testing with a heavier barrier moving at a higher speed to better simulate the not-that-uncommon incident of a mid-size SUV hitting a small SUV. Only one, the Mazda CX-5, got a Good rating.
