If you’ve walked into Shelor Toyota, chances are Peggy's smiling face was the first thing you saw. Known around here as “Mama P,” she brings a positive attitude every day and has a way of making people feel right at home.

On this day in 1937, Toyota Motor Co. was officially founded in Japan. 🚗

Toyota actually got its start a few years earlier inside Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, where a small team began working on cars and trucks. Their G1 truck came out in 1935, followed by the Model AA passenger car in 1936.

89 years later, Toyota is known all over the world. Pretty wild to think it all started with a small automotive division inside a loom company. 👀
