People ask how the Car Finder service works. Clint explains it in under a minute.

First he finds out what you are looking for: make, model, year, color combination. Then what kind of money you are trying to spend, so everything comes together. Then he goes and gets the person on the right car at the right price. The only way to do that, in his words, is to ask people questions.

The $3,000 car is the call Clint gets more than any other. The answer is almost always no, and here is why.

A car is $2,000 or $3,000 for a reason. You pay it this week, and in two weeks it is a bad transmission or a bad engine. Now the money is gone and you still need a car.

So Clint tells people the same thing he tells his own kids: save a little more, buy a little nicer car, maybe finance one. Everybody's circumstances are different, but that is the honest answer.

Hand-selected inventory, safety checked twice, no pressure. Tell Clint the car you want. Watch Clint find it.

People ask how the Car Finder service actually works. It is three steps, and it starts with questions.

Step one, Clint finds out what you are looking for. Make, model, year, the color combination you want.

Step two, he asks what you are trying to spend. There is no sense in wanting a $70,000 Corvette on a $10,000 budget, so he gets that straight up front.

Step three, he goes and gets it. Forty years of auction relationships is how a car you described on Monday ends up on the lot.

You do not have to settle for what happens to be sitting here. Tell Clint the car you want.

Clint gets asked for $2,000 and $3,000 cars more than anything else, and he turns them down. Here is why.

There is a reason a car is $2,000 or $3,000. You pay $3,000 for one this week, and in two weeks it is a bad transmission or a bad engine, and you wasted your money. So he does not buy them, and he tells people who will sit down and listen that they are better off saving a little more and buying a little nicer car, maybe financing one.

Everybody has different circumstances. But if it was his own kids, that is exactly what he would tell them.

Expertise you can count on. Integrity you can trust.

"Safety checked twice" is on every car we post. Here is exactly what that means.

Check one happens at the auction, before Clint buys. He has them run a post-sale inspection: no frame damage, no salvage title, nothing that has been through a hail storm or a flood. If it does not pass, he does not buy it.

Check two happens here in Chino. Oil change, brakes, a 110-point safety inspection, and a smog before it goes out the door.

That is the difference between a car somebody flipped and a car somebody stands behind.
