It’s about so much more than a car… Its about a woman who never even hoped for or dared to dream for this kind of moment.

This picture truly captures what it felt like. Knee kicking up, head back, eyes closed and heart pounding with laughter and joy. That’s what you see here.

That’s not just about a car. It’s about doing the very thing I thought I would never do again and also thought I couldn’t do again. I didn’t work away from home for a whole decade. I truly thought I never would work again. I really didn’t think I would own my own little business and have the privilege to meet people from all over the world. And I’m doing it right here in my hometown.

As the last 14-15 months have passed I have grown and changed so much. It was a long time coming y’all! The decade of dread was long and dark. Then there was this little spark that lit a full on inferno in me. With each passing day in this last year- ish I began to believe more and more that I am right where I am supposed to be. I also began to believe in me. That was totally foreign to me.

I’m eternally grateful for the people that believed in me when I couldn’t. I bet I don’t even know them all because my community is so full of caring and supportive people.

But about that car… Oh how I’ve always loved the Chevy Camaro! But figured I would die with the dream of having my very own.

Holy crap I have my own!

I did the dang deal myself like the big girl I used to be. Oh how I have missed her! But she didn’t come back dimly lit and shy, she’s the full on inferno! Like her Inferno Orange Camaro. 😉

I must add that I’m standing in the showroom at John Holt Chevrolet in Chickasha in this picture. The whole staff and even their other customers were great! It was an awesome experience.

I didn’t dare dream this big until there was a 50 foot tall Leg Lamp in my town. And even still I just thought I might sell a few leg lamp souvenirs and crafts and that will be cool. 😎 It’s been way cool!

I’m grateful! And let me tell you what! I am so motivated. It’s kinda funny how an old new car can put a spring in my step. I’m clearing out clutter and organizing my whole life. I’m even about to bake some cookies. 🤷‍♀️ I must be someone that works really well with a reward system. Ha! 😂

That day.
That feeling.
That accomplishment.

I’ll never forget it and I’m going to hold that joy close to my heart. I do mean close, you know ya gotta hold on to the steering wheel and it’s right in your chest. That’s pretty close to the heart.

Slipped off from the shop today to check out some cool rides and pick up a couple of pieces of sheet metal for Claude. Shane Henry you should have came with me, your gen of trucks are represented well.

Finally found a set of wheels and tires so we can move forward by getting Claude on the ground. These are 18” wheels and they are temporary. Claude will be rolling on some 20” Racelines when it’s all done. But these will allow the progress to continue.
