To our neighbors, families, and business owners here in Maywood:
We are working on an exciting new proposal to bring a full-scale commercial development and youth center to our village—the Maywood RC Racing Club & Hobby Superstore! We are planning to purchase and revitalize local commercial spaces on 5th Ave and 4th & Washington to build a premier entertainment hub.
This project isn't just about radio-controlled cars, drift racing, and heavy-duty 1:5 scale motocross motorcycles; it is built to be a direct investment in Maywood. We are partnering with Proviso East High School, PMSA, and District 89 Elementary campuses to launch free after-school STEM engineering leagues, student tech labs, and weekend family build days.
Before we present our formal real estate purchase plans to the Village Board, we want to know what you think! Is this a good business and a positive development for our town?
