Building on a new and exciting race in Chicago... The Jackson Park 5 Classic Run (5K). Make it Funky with the Fast 5K...
The Jackson Park Five Classic Run is an event to recognize the five communities surrounding Jackson Park. This is event was spearheaded by Alderman Leslie A Hairston, Tri-Master-Youth Camps and South East Chicago Commission (SECC). The Run will have a 1960's and 1970's inspired theme, costumes are welcome. Tri-Masters is celebrating more than 25 years of fighting childhood obesity and teaching youth to live a healthy lifestyles through the sport of triathlon. Founded in 1952, SECC has programs that enhance the quality of life in five neighborhoods. Proceeds from the Jackson Park Five Classic Run will benefit Tri-Masters Sports Initiative and SECC. All participants will receive a premium shirt. All participants will receive a virtual goodie bag and light post race refreshments. TIMING
The Jackson Park 5 Run will be utilizing the latest technology for racing, disposable timing chips located on the race bib. These tags stay on the bibs the entire time. Please note race results will be based on chip start/finish times only. REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICKUP

VOLUNTEERS

What are my parking options at the race? There are three Chicago Park District metered parking lots that will be open for parking race morning:
- 63rd Street Beach, (6300 S Lakeshore Drive)
- E Hayes Dr and Cornell, (2865 E Hayes Drive)
- E Hayes and Lake Shore Dr (5700 E Hayes Drive)
You can also find street parking on Stoney Island near 63rd Street. What are my public transportation options getting to the race? METRA (ME Line – 59th Street stop) will get you to the race with a little time to spare. For more details, including schedules and fare information, visit Metra’s website at www.metrarail.com. CTA: Jackson Park is two blocks east of the Stone Island and 63rd Street stop on the CTA bus line. For system maps, fare information, and schedule times visit the CTA’s website at www.transitchicago.com. Can I run with my jogging stroller? Yes, you may run with a jogging stroller. We ask that you position yourself behind the elite runners as to not interfere with the start of the race. Can I run with my dog?
