Classic and Vintage BMW

Classic and Vintage BMW Created for (and by) classic and vintage BMW enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation, restoration and celebration of the following BMWs.. Technically..

Pre / Post WWII, Neue Klasse, E3, E9, E10, E12, E20, E21, E23, E24, E26, E28, E30 and E31. Founded in memory of my friend Glenn H. in September of 2010, Classic and Vintage BMW aims to provide a community that accurately captures the essence of what made these BMWs the automotive legends that they have become. By doing so, we hope to motivate and inspire fellow classic and vintage BMW enthusiasts

so that these vehicles will continue to bring joy to future generations of pre- E31 BMW enthusiasts. BMW has certainly made a lot of vehicles over the years. This page was created in honor of only a small portion of those vehicles. Considering BMW's vast racing history, countless prototypes, concept cars, European spec production cars, U.S. spec production cars, combined with a handful of cars from various small volume high performance manufacturers and tuners such as Alpina, GS Tuning, Willi Martini, Hartge, and Schnitzer, we do our best to provide our page members with an accurate description, and depiction of each vehicle that we choose to exhibit on our page. While this page may be created for.. (and by) ..classic and vintage BMW enthusiasts, we.. (the administrators of this page) ..in no way claim to be experts on every single vehicle or image that is displayed here. We do our very best to present these vehicles using our own knowledge, combined with the results of our own research that we do on our own time. In the process of sharing, discovering, and learning more about BMW's heritage, we invite all of our page members to share in the experience. Since this is a shared experience, we consider all of you to be 'page members' instead of mere 'fans'. We openly acknowledge and welcome the collective wisdom and experience that all of our page members have to offer. We invite you to correct us when we're wrong, and we invite you to submit your own material for all of our page members to enjoy. We encourage all of you to 'like', share and comment on all of our posts. Just keep in mind that if you have nothing positive, insightful or constructive to say, we'd really prefer that you say nothing at all. That's basically our way of saying.. "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Since Facebook has a way of replacing actual file names with a long alphanumeric code, please be sure that you rename any of the files that you download from our page using some of the info that we've provided.. (if we've provided any) ..By doing so, we can be sure that your files will reflect the actual date, driver, or model that appears in the image(s). In the event that you share those files elsewhere, the file name will provide enough information to let you and others know what it is that your sharing. We mention this because we feel that it's very important. We could very easily post photos with no information, but we prefer to do more than simply post random photos. For example, by researching the origin of certain race photos, we're doing our part to preserve the history of the photo which tends to get lost when photos are shared with no information. Since we've made the effort to find and share the information with you, we simply ask that you do the same. Thanks!

We have a ton of information, that often gets overlooked, in our page's 'Notes' section. So, feel free to click the following link and have a look. http://on.fb.me/NtERuA

Note: We have no problem with the E31s, but we're already pushing the envelope in terms of what's considered to be classic and vintage. (though not by definition) ..the 'Classics' are the cars that were manufactured between 1952 and 1965. 'Vintage' cars were manufactured from 1927 to 1941.
