We had an absolute blast at COTA. The track was everything we thought and then some. The 4RS took the abuse about as well as it could with close to a thousand track miles in 72 hours. A huge shout out to Ted from Dundon and Felix from Saga for coming to to the rescue when we lost the rear left along with the existing and hopefully new customers we met over the weekend!

It’s always a good day to do a rear main seal replacement, a job that entails removing the transmission and getting deep into the heart of the drivetrain. This F82 M4 received that treatment today. With everything apart, Mike, our BMW Master Technician, replaced additional o-rings and supporting components so the customer won’t have to revisit this labor-intensive area anytime soon!

After reassembly, the car went through multiple tests and checks to make sure it left performing exactly as it should.

Over 15 hours of labor went into removing the transmission, opening the rear of the engine, replacing timing chains and the rear main seal, then reassembling everything exactly as it should be.

While we had fun this past weekend, there’s wasn’t much room for PB’s. I matched the 1:58, but in heavy traffic. Hopefully next year we will play in the “optimal” area of :56’s. For now enjoy the exhaust sound while cutting up plenty of traffic. - Adi

Check engine light on? Could be something small but small things turn into big problems when they’re ignored. This F80 rolled in needing a simple pipe reattached… quick fix, clean solution, and just like that, the CEL was gone.⁠

Once the engine was squared away, we handed it off to .va for a full exterior detail and a layer of sealant to lock in the clean. Because what’s the point of driving a performance car if it doesn’t feel and look dialed in?
