Your car’s cooling system is working nonstop every time you drive — and most people don’t think about it until something goes wrong.

Here’s the simple breakdown 👇
Coolant flows through your engine, soaking up heat as it goes. A water pump keeps it moving, and the coolant itself is specially designed so it won’t freeze in winter or boil over in summer.

The thermostat acts like a gatekeeper — it keeps coolant in the engine until everything reaches the right temperature. Once it opens, that hot coolant heads to the radiator, where heat is released into the air.

And that warm air you feel inside your car on cold mornings? Yep — that comes from coolant flowing through the heater core.

🔋 Batteries lose up to 35–50% of their power in cold weather
🛢️ Oil thickens, making engines harder to start, and work harder
🛞 Tire pressure drops about 1 PSI for every 10°F decrease
