Farrell's Body Shop

Farrell's Body Shop Don't Trust Just Anybody With Your Body! He taught my father everything he knows about the industry and then some.

Here's the deal...

Farrell's Body Shop has been in business for over 65 years starting with my grandfather (my dads dad) on the corner of Kellogg and West street in Wichita, KS known as Farrell's Garage. Then eventually my dad taught me everything i know about all of it! And so that's where i came into the picture as soon as i was old enough to know what to do without making more work for my dad.

But even more so than that because of the more detailed aspects of the job. Nowadays you wont see body shops cater to their customers like we do, for instance, if you need an estimate written, we will come to you. If you need your car picked up and brought to our shop, we will do that. If you need a vehicle while your car is in our shop, we will loan you one. We strive to make this process as easy as possible while your car is getting repaired. As my dad says "Old Time Service"

Some say that we are second to none in the way that we do things for our customers and the jobs that we perform for them. So with that being said, if you are interested in our services or just wanna know more about what we do, give us call! We'd be more than happy to answer any questions you might have, or even come by our shop and have a visit and check out the latest projects we are working on! We appreciate all the support you have given us over the years and we will continue to help you out where ever and however we can.

*When you buy from a small business, you are not helping a CEO buy a third vacation home. You are helping a little girl get dance lessons, a little boy get his team jersey, a mom putting food on the table, a dad to pay a mortgage or a student to pay for college.

John Mellencamp – Small Town 😎
‘Small Town’ is a 1985 song written by John Mellencamp and released on his eighth album Scarecrow. The song reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and #13 Adult Contemporary. Mellencamp wrote the song about his experiences growing up in a small town in Indiana, having been born in Seymour, Indiana, and living in Bloomington, Indiana, which, at the time of the release of the song, was larger. The music video has references to both towns.
"I wrote that song in the laundry room of my old house," Mellencamp told American Songwriter magazine in 2004. "We had company, and I had to go write the song. And the people upstairs could hear me writing and they were all laughing when I came up. They said, 'You've got to be kidding.' What else can you say about it?" Mellencamp later told The Wall Street Journal that he had written the lyrics using an electronic typewriter that beeped whenever he misspelled a word, which had amused the people listening upstairs; however, they were silenced when he played the song to them. In 2013, Mellencamp told Rolling Stone, "I wanted to write a song that said, 'You don't have to live in New York or Los Angeles to live a full life or enjoy your life.' I was never one of those guys that grew up and thought, 'I need to get out of here.' It never dawned on me. I just valued having a family and staying close to friends."
Many songs have been written about looking to escape the confines of small-town America, but Mellencamp celebrates it in his music and life, most vividly on this song. Mellencamp tried city-living, by moving to New York City after he got a record deal, but it didn't take: he felt overwhelmed and creatively bereft. He moved back to Indiana and stayed there the rest of his life, setting up his own recording studio, Belmont Mall, near the tiny town of Nashville, Indiana, so he wouldn't have to go into a city to work.
