Your generator is supposed to be there
when you need it most.
These warning signs say otherwise:
✗ Starts but shuts off within minutes
Usually a fuel or carburetor issue.
Running rough = something's restricting flow.
✗ Runs but produces no power output
The engine works fine, but the generator
itself isn't generating. Could be the
windings, the AVR, or a tripped breaker.
✗ Excessive smoke or burning smell
Stop using it immediately. Could be oil
overfill, a failing component, or worse.
✗ Won't start at all, dead silence
Check the basics first: fuel level, oil
level, battery charge. If those check out,
it's time for a real diagnosis.
A generator that fails mid-trip isn't
just inconvenient, for full-timers and
off-grid campers, it's a real problem.
We run full load testing, battery and
starter checks, fuel system diagnosis,
and output voltage testing.
