Myth: If your car still drives, your suspension must be fine.
Fact: Worn suspension components can affect your handling, braking, tire wear, stability, and ride comfort long before your vehicle becomes undrivable.
If your ride feels rough, your vehicle pulls to one side, or your tires are wearing unevenly, it may be time for an inspection.

🍂 A change of season is a good reminder to check some of the basics that help keep your vehicle ready for everyday driving.
Your fall checklist can include:
✓ Check oil and fluid levels
✓ Check interior and exterior lights
✓ Measure tire pressure and tread depth
✓ Inspect windshield wipers and washer fluid
✓ Review your emergency kit
✓ Test the battery and inspect the brakes
Routine checks can help identify wear or maintenance needs before they become inconvenient.

Unusual noises, vibration, changes in pedal feel, or difficulty shifting can indicate that a vehicle’s brake or clutch system needs attention.
However, a symptom alone doesn’t always identify the specific component at fault. A thorough inspection and proper diagnosis help determine the appropriate repair before parts are replaced.
At Presto Auto Care, our approach is straightforward: inspect, diagnose, explain, and then recommend the appropriate next step.

🚗 Is your car pulling to one side? Don’t ignore it! Uneven tire pressure, wheel alignment issues, worn suspension components, uneven tire wear, or a sticking brake caliper could be the cause. A quick inspection can help prevent bigger—and more expensive—problems down the road. 🛠️

👀 What does 3 mm of brake pad actually look like?
Customers often hear, "Your brake pads are at 3 mm," but what does that really mean?
Take a look. ⬆️
Brake pads start with considerably more friction material, and as you drive, that material gradually wears down. At around 3 mm, the pads are getting low, which is why your technician may recommend planning for replacement.
This doesn't mean every vehicle at 3 mm has an emergency - driving habits, vehicle type, and wear rate all matter. But it does mean it's time to pay attention and plan ahead.
We want you to see what we see so you can make an informed decision about your vehicle.
