🔥 TAKE A LOOK — OUR NEW RAM eTorque RESOLVER DESIGN
We’ve been working on something we believe is a major improvement over the OEM resolver — and we’re finally ready to give you a first look. 👀
The OEM resolver design leaves critical sensing components exposed to the environment. Over time, dirt, dust, moisture and debris can accumulate around the windings and electronics, potentially contributing to corrosion, electrical interference and premature failure.
Instead of simply replacing the OEM unit with another resolver using the same basic design, we went back to the drawing board.
We completely re-engineered the resolver with a sealed, enclosed design focused on protecting the internal components from real-world environmental exposure.
Compared to the OEM configuration, our design is built around:
✅ Fully enclosed housing
✅ Improved protection from dirt, dust and debris
✅ Increased protection against moisture and environmental exposure
✅ Better isolation of the sensing components
✅ A focus on long-term MGU durability
✅ Addressing a known weakness in the OEM design
Our goal wasn’t to make another like-for-like replacement.
Our goal was to engineer a better resolver.
After seeing countless MGU failures, we know that small design weaknesses can turn into major problems down the road. That’s why we focus on the root cause instead of simply replacing parts with the same limitations.
This is only the FIRST LOOK.
Testing is continuing, and we’ll be sharing more details, photos and results as we move forward.
