Clean power. Precise timing. No unnecessary rewiring. ⚡
puts the Power Probe PP3 to work while setting up and checking a strobe lighting system.

With the PP3, he can apply power directly to the circuit, trigger the lights, and verify the strobe pattern without constantly rewiring the setup.
It’s a simple way to stay in control while testing:
⚡ Apply power or ground
⚡ Activate components directly
⚡ Check circuit operation in real time
⚡ Speed up accessory and lighting installs

From custom lighting to everyday electrical troubleshooting, the PP3 helps make circuit testing faster and more straightforward.

When the scan tool reports “no signal,” the fault is not always the sensor.
In this diagnostic walkthrough, investigates an A/C problem on a 2016 Audi A4 using the Power Probe ECT3000 Open/Short Finder.

The A/C would not engage, the indicator light flashed and switched off, and fault codes for the humidity and high-pressure sensors both showed no signal. After confirming the sensors were functioning correctly, attention turned to the wiring.

By isolating the circuit and tracing the signal through the harness with the ECT3000, the fault was narrowed down to a small internal wire break that was impossible to see from the outside.
One targeted repair restored the circuit—and brought the cold air back.
A great example of how accurate circuit tracing can prevent unnecessary parts replacement and turn a difficult electrical fault into a confirmed repair.

One meter. Built around automotive diagnostics. ⚡
The Power Probe DM300AUTO goes beyond standard multimeter measurements with functions designed specifically for automotive technicians.
From everyday electrical checks to current and charging-system diagnostics, it puts more of the testing you actually use into one tool.

Key capabilities include:
⚡ True RMS AC/DC measurements
⚡ Current measurement up to 30A with the high-current lead
⚡ Fuse current testing without removing the fuse
⚡ Fuse voltage-drop testing
⚡ Guided cranking-voltage test
⚡ Guided alternator-charging test
⚡ Resistance, continuity and diode testing
⚡ Frequency and duty-cycle measurements

Less switching between tools. More information at the point of diagnosis.

A dead battery after one or two days can point to countless possibilities—but the fault should be confirmed, not guessed.

In this video from , a Mercedes B200 arrives with an excessive key-off current draw. With an aftermarket radio installed, that circuit was an obvious suspect, but the team still needed to prove it.

Using the Power Probe PPDRAW Parasitic Draw Monitor, they quickly confirmed that the vehicle was drawing too much current while switched off. They then used the PPFUSE Fuse Monitor to test the radio fuse directly and identify the affected circuit without removing fuses one by one.

This diagnosis shows how the PPDRAW and PPFUSE work together to make parasitic draw testing faster, more controlled, and repeatable—helping technicians move from symptom to source with less guesswork.

⚡ Putting the DM300AUTO to the test with Eurotech82
Big thanks to Ben Stanley from Eurotech82 for featuring the Power Probe DM300AUTO in his latest video.

During the test, the DM300AUTO is connected in series with the vehicle battery, first showing a stable 0.1A resting draw. Then, once a simulated load is introduced, the reading quickly rises to 1.89A, making it easy to see the change in current in real time.

That makes the DM300AUTO a practical tool for:
✅ Monitoring current draw
✅ Tracking live electrical loads
✅ Diagnosing parasitic drain issues
✅ Getting fast, stable readings during automotive electrical testing

⚡ CATCH THE SPIKE. EVEN IF YOU DON’T SEE IT HAPPEN.
MAX PEAK Mode on the Power Probe 3 with PowerFlow™ Technology is designed to capture the highest voltage reached during a test.
If voltage spikes and immediately drops back down, the PP3PF stores that highest reading until you reset it—so you don’t have to be watching the display at the exact moment the event happens.

This is especially useful when you're probing in tight or awkward areas where the screen isn’t always visible.
A simple way to catch fast electrical events that could otherwise be easy to miss.

A circuit can look perfect at rest and still fail the moment it has to do real work.

That’s the trap with hidden electrical faults.
Corrosion, weak grounds, and damaged wiring may still show voltage during a static check—but once current flows, resistance creates voltage drop and the real problem appears.

That’s why load testing matters.
With PP3PF and PowerFlow™ Technology, you can apply controlled load and expose faults that ordinary voltage checks can miss—so you can stop guessing and start confirming.

Don’t trust a circuit until it works under load.

A 5V pulse doesn’t always show up as 5V on a typical multimeter.
Why? Because many meters average the signal. A pulse switching between 0V and 5V could appear as roughly 2.5V—hiding what’s really happening in the circuit.

With Peak-to-Peak Mode on the PP3PF, you can capture the actual peak voltage of positive automotive pulses, making it useful for checking signals from components such as wheel speed sensors and crank sensors.

See the pulse. Read the peak. Understand the signal.

Sometimes the fastest way to diagnose a sensor signal is not just to see it—but to hear it too.
With the AC Threshold setting on the PP3PF, you can select the voltage level you want to detect and use it together with Peak-to-Peak Mode.

Set the threshold low for signals such as wheel speed sensors, cam sensors, or speed sensors, and when the PP3PF detects the pulsed signal, it can automatically switch to Peak-to-Peak Mode, display the signal voltage, and activate the speaker so you can hear the signal in real time.

A quick, practical way to confirm that a sensor is actually producing a signal.
Set the threshold. Detect the pulse. Hear the signal.
