🚨 New PPDRAW App Update is here.
The Power Probe Link app now gives your PPDRAW even more diagnostic power.

Set your own current draw threshold, and when the vehicle goes above that limit, the app will automatically start recording and send a push notification to your phone at the exact moment it happens.

With the new update, you can:
✅ Set a leakage current threshold
✅ Automatically record draw events
✅ Get push notifications when the threshold is exceeded
✅ Review exact timestamps and current values
✅ Reset max/min readings from the app
✅ Control Smart Output directly from your phone

Already have a PPDRAW? Update the Power Probe Link app and start using the new features.
Don’t have one yet? This is the perfect time to add PPDRAW to your diagnostic setup.

Dead battery every morning? ⚡🔋
tracked down this parasitic draw on a 2019 Durango using the Power Probe PPDRAW and PPFUSE combo.

With the Draw Monitor connected, the vehicle showed a massive 1.5A draw. Using the PPFUSE, the faulty circuit was quickly isolated to the amplifier circuit — leading straight to a corroded module causing the drain. 🔧
✅ Monitor parasitic draw in real time
✅ Check fuse activity without removing fuses
✅ Isolate battery drains faster
✅ Save diagnostic time and avoid guesswork

This is exactly why the PPDRAW + PPFUSE combination is becoming a must-have setup for electrical diagnostics. 👊

Finding wiring shorts doesn’t have to mean tearing the whole vehicle apart. ⚡🔧
put the Power Probe ECT3000 Open & Short Finder to work tracking down a damaged wire hidden in the harness.
By following the signal through the harness, the ECT3000 helped pinpoint the exact location of the short — right where the wire was grounding against metal.

One of the most powerful features?
➡️ The directional arrows change as you pass the fault location, helping guide you directly to the damaged section of the circuit.

Combined with the audible tone feedback, diagnosing opens and shorts becomes faster, cleaner, and far more efficient. 👊
✅ Trace shorts without unnecessary teardown
✅ Follow wiring through harnesses and panels
✅ Pinpoint damaged wires faster
✅ Diagnose intermittent faults with confidence

Finding a parasitic draw doesn’t have to turn into an all-day fuse-pulling marathon.
At SEMA, stopped by the Power Probe booth to check out the PPFUSE Fuse Monitor—a compact, cordless tool designed to make parasitic drain diagnosis faster and simpler.

In the demo, he quickly identified a 460 mA draw on a 10A fuse—pinpointing the problem circuit in seconds. No guesswork. No extra equipment. Just a direct current reading across the fuse.

USB-C rechargeable, cordless, and built for real-world diagnostics, the PPFUSE takes one of the most frustrating electrical tests and makes it straightforward.

A no-crank / no-start isn’t solved with parts—it’s solved with proof.
In this in-depth diagnostic from , a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 came in with no crank, no start, and no communication with the PCM. The fuse box had already been repaired, fuses replaced, and the starter circuit could be manually activated—yet the engine still wouldn’t fire.

Instead of guessing, the Power Probe PP4 was used to methodically validate the system
This wasn’t a static voltage check. It was active circuit verification.

When every supporting circuit passed under load and control testing, the conclusion was clear: failed PCM.
This is exactly where the PP4 shines—forcing circuits, validating relay logic, and diagnosing module communication issues with confidence.

Want to unlock more capability from your Power Probe? 🔧⚡
In this video from , OD highlights two powerful tip accessories that take your circuit tester to the next level: PPAMP and PPPWM.

🔹 PPAMP – Amp Tip
Add real-time current measurement to your Power Probe. Now when you power up a component, you can instantly see its current draw—complete with Min/Max capture.

🔹 PPPWM – PWM Tip
Bring duty cycle control to your tool. With this accessory, your Power Probe can output a pulse-width modulated signal—just like modern vehicle modules.

As more systems rely on duty cycle signals and precise current specs, these two accessories turn your Power Probe into an even more versatile diagnostic platform.
