This BMW M240i came to us with a pretty substantial coolant leak, but once we started digging in, there was a little more to the story.

Our inspection found that the oil filter housing and oil cooler were leaking heavily, so we’re replacing the original components with an upgraded metal housing for a more durable repair.

Since the intake was already coming off, the customer asked us to take a look at the intake valves while we were in there. We found a decent amount of carbon buildup, and the customer decided it was the perfect time for a walnut blasting to get everything cleaned up and help restore proper airflow.

It’s a great example of why a thorough inspection matters and why we like to look at the whole picture instead of simply addressing the first problem we find.

This M240i will be leaving cleaner, properly repaired, and ready for plenty more miles.
