Well folks… the time has come. Last month while we were on vacation we got some bad news: the gentleman who owns the building we rent from, has sold the building. And the new owner has no intention of renting out to tenants at this time.

So, unfortunately, the PACE garage physical location is no more, as of the end of this month. However, we will still be offering mobile/on-site services and we are taking appointments starting for the month of September.

Our mission remains the same; we just have to go about it a bit differently (for now). Thank you to everyone for your support and we look forward to continuing to serve our customers in any way we can.

Starter removal 2x and replacement done in afternoon! And I even did it in the rain for a few minutes too 😂

I don’t know if I’ll ever learn to stop and take pictures of progress when doing these jobs, but I managed to snap this one after removing a dead starter on a customers e60 535iX. We borrowed a starter from his other car as the one he ordered was stuck and still in transit but he needed the car back on the road.

New intake manifold gaskets, starter swapped out, and this customer is back on the road in an afternoon! The missing starter will go back on the donor car once it arrives 👍🏻

Not all mechanics are equal! This picture shows a side by side comparison of a hose that a local freelance mechanic “modified” to make it fit back on a water pump job for the customer. The hose on the left was oil soaked and spongy, and had been trimmed to fit back on the vehicle.

The right is a used, but good condition, oem water pump hose. Instead of telling the customer up front, or even in the middle of the job, that this hose was compromised and needed replaced, he continued with reinstallation and called it good.

This hose was replaced at the customers request, but the vehicle has another leaking hose directly above it, which will also have to be replaced.

Now the customer is forced to face more downtime, more repair charges, and worst of all, paid someone for a job that was incomplete, and the same person had the nerve to request an additional $50 after the job to be further compensated.

We will always strive to be up front with our customers, transparent about the repair process, and as always, fix it right the first time!

A little sneak peek at our shop/personal car new fuel setup! This “stg 3.75” from Precision Raceworks modifies the stock bucket and drops in 2 walbro style pumps: a 535 primary and a 525 secondary, triggered by a Hobbs switch for boost-only operation. Between the 2, r hat’s enough fuel flow to support up to 1000whp! This modular bucket system from precision can start out as a single bucketed pump and gives adaptability to grow into a dual pump, or even a triple pump setup!

Best of all this retains the factory bucket and Venturi system to ensure the pumps never go dry and integrated seamlessly with the other factory fuel system components.

We never manage to get good pictures or videos when working on a job. But here’s some from today, at least a little evidence that we do work lol. Customer had their window taped up for months and finally decided to get it fixed today, so a quick regulator replacement was in order. The window now rolls up and down as it should and the customer is happy, which is our aim every time!
