Today is Memorial Day.
Not a day to celebrate — a day to remember.
To remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. Who didn't come home. Whose families have carried that loss every day since.
From everyone at Earnhardt Ford Fleet in Chandler — we honor them. We are grateful for their sacrifice. And we will not forget.
Enjoy the day with the people you love. And take a moment today to remember the reason we have it.

Out on the course today at the ALCA Golf Tournament representing Earnhardt Ford Fleet.

We're sponsoring the Hole in One challenge — and if someone finds the bottom of the cup today, they're driving home in a 2026 Ford Bronco.

That's not a bad way to spend a Thursday in Arizona.

Big thanks to ALCA for putting on a great event benefiting the Sky Blu Underwood Scholarship. Proud to be part of it alongside my colleague Shane Gurule from our Commercial Service team.

To everyone out there today — good luck. You're going to need it. 🏌️

Ford launched something that every fleet manager running more than a handful of trucks needs to know about.
It's called Ford Pro AI — and it's now included at no additional cost for Ford Pro Telematics subscribers.
Here's what it actually does.
You ask it a question. "What vehicles need service this month?" It gives you a prioritized list, tells you which ones to address first, and books the appointments. No spreadsheets. No manual tracking. No calling around.
It monitors fuel costs across your entire fleet in real time. If something spikes — idle time, hard acceleration, a driver habit that's burning through fuel — it flags it, identifies the cause, and drafts recommendations you can send directly to your drivers.
It tracks vehicle health, seatbelt usage, location data, and maintenance schedules across every truck in your fleet simultaneously. All of it pulling from embedded modems built directly into the vehicles — not a third-party add-on, not an afterthought.
For a contractor running 5, 10, or 20 trucks across multiple job sites, that used to mean hiring someone to manage it or letting things slip through the cracks. Now it's a conversation with a dashboard.
I've been placing Ford commercial vehicles for over 10 years. The gap between what fleet management used to require and what it requires now is significant — and Ford Pro AI is the clearest example of that shift I've seen.
If you're already running Ford vehicles and not using Ford Pro Telematics, you're leaving this tool on the table for free.
Worth a conversation. Reach out anytime.

Manage your fleet with Ford Pro and maximize productivity with vehicle health data, EV charging solutions, vehicle tracking & driver behavior insights.

Many contractors I've talked to this year have said some version of the same thing.

"We're holding off on decisions until things settle down."

I understand the instinct. But here's what I'm seeing on the ground in Arizona.

The work isn't slowing down. Job sites are still active. Crews still need to move. Waiting on a vehicle decision doesn't pause the need, it just means you're dealing with it under pressure instead of ahead of it.

Ford fleet pricing and allocation don't wait for the economy to settle. The contractors who lock in terms now are insulated from whatever shifts between now and delivery. The ones who wait absorb whatever the market looks like when they finally call.

I've been doing this for 10+ years. Every cycle of uncertainty produces the same two outcomes. The businesses that planned ahead came out of it stronger. Every time.

If you've got vehicles on your list for 2026, now is the right time to have the conversation.

Reach out anytime.

A contractor called me last month needing four F-250s upfitted and ready before their spring contracts kicked in.
Here’s what happened between that call and the day they got their keys.
— I pulled current Super Duty inventory and incoming units, confirmed what was available in the right configuration, and locked in fleet pricing before anything moved.
— I ran the deal through Ford to identify every incentive and program they qualified for. Most business owners buying retail never see this step. It doesn’t exist for them.
— I coordinated with our upfit partner to confirm lead times, spec out the build for each truck, and get the order queued before inventory shifted.
— Financing structured specifically for a business purchase, not a personal vehicle. Different programs, different terms, different outcome.
— Delivery scheduled, trucks inspected, keys handed over. Four work-ready F-250s on the job site before busy season.

That’s what a dedicated fleet contact actually does — and why it’s a completely different experience than walking onto a lot and working with whoever’s available that day.
I’ve been doing this for over 13 years across Arizona. Every deal has moving parts most business owners never see. My job is to manage all of them so you don’t have to.
If you’ve got vehicles coming up this year and want someone handling the details, reach out.

Earnhardt Ford Fleet had the honor of hosting a table at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley - Arizona Stars 2026 gala — honoring Robert Shippy and celebrating the 2026 Youth of the Year.

The energy in that room was something else! The amount of support raised for these clubs in a single evening was genuinely inspiring.

If you haven't had the chance to work with Rolling Plains Construction or meet Bob personally, you're missing out. The kind of person who makes everyone around him better — and the kind of leader worth celebrating.

Proud to support an organization that's doing real work for Arizona's next generation.

Thank you to Tim Emory and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley - BGCArizona, The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, and everyone who showed up and gave generously that night.

The question I wish more business owners asked me before buying their next work truck:
"What should I actually be driving for my business right now?"
Not what's on the lot. Not what they've always bought. Not what their buddy recommended. What actually makes sense for their operation, their crew, their job sites, and their budget in 2026.
Most contractors I talk to have been buying the same truck for years out of habit. And a lot of the time that habit is costing them, either in the wrong configuration for the work they're actually doing now, or in a price point they'd never accept if they knew what else was available.
Here's what every new fleet client should consider before we talk about a single vehicle:
How many people are in the truck on a typical day? What are you hauling or towing? Are you on job sites, highways, or both? How long do you keep your vehicles? And what does downtime actually cost your business when a truck is out of service?
Those five questions change the conversation every time.
After 10+ years placing commercial vehicles for contractors and trades businesses across Arizona, I can tell you, the right truck for your business in 2026 might not be what you've been driving. And it may be available at better terms than you're currently paying.
That's the conversation I'm here to have.
If you've got a vehicle purchase coming up this year and want a straight answer on what makes sense for your operation, reach out. No pitch. Just the right questions and honest answers.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from the Fleet Team at Earnhardt Ford in Chandler.
Wishing every contractor, business owner, and fleet manager out there a safe and lucky day — though if you've been working with me long enough, you know I'm more of a believer in preparation than luck.
The luckiest fleet buyers I know are the ones who planned 60 days ahead.
Stay safe out there today. Green trucks welcome.

Ford was just ranked the most quintessentially American brand in a national survey.
I'm not surprised.
The contractors and business owners I work with every day don't buy Ford because of a survey. They buy Ford because the trucks show up, hold up, and get the job done. That's been true for their fathers and in some cases their grandfathers too.
Bill Ford said it well — his great-grandfather Henry Ford helped create the American middle class and gave everyday Americans freedom of mobility they didn't have before. ford That's not marketing language. That's what a work truck actually does for a small business owner trying to build something.
I've spent 10+ years placing Ford commercial vehicles with businesses across Arizona. The loyalty I see from fleet buyers isn't brand sentiment. It's practical. Ford Pro programs, Super Duty reliability, upfit compatibility, service network — it all adds up when a truck is your livelihood, not just your commute.
Proud to be part of that story at Earnhardt Ford in Chandler.
If you're a contractor or business owner who's never looked at what a dedicated Ford fleet contact can actually do for your operation, now's a good time.
