When Big Red took on Pikes Peak, it was powered by a 555ci naturally aspirated big-block Chevy built by Larry Mollicone. Producing **900+ horsepower** with **15:1 compression** and **Holley Dominator EFI** to handle the mountain's extreme altitude changes, it was built for one of motorsport's toughest challenges.

From sea level speed to the summit of Pikes Peak—Big Red has done it all. 🏁⛰️

In 1989, Big Red rewrote the record books at the Silver State Classic, averaging 197.99 MPH over a 94-mile open-road course while reaching a 222 MPH top speed. Decades later, the legend continues, with recent runs pushing 234.4 MPH in the standing mile-and-a-half. Every evolution of the car—including the new 565 Elephant 2—is designed to carry that legacy even further.
