Eastside Crit, please keep Cat 3 racer, and my friend, Nathan Aikele in your thoughts and prayers this evening. He crashed in a Cat 3/4 race in Texas and had to have major back surgery. He still does not have feeling below his waist.

Nathan will graduate this May and start a residency in Colorado to be a podiatric surgeon. He's a great friend and an even better bike rider.

Be thankful when you go out on your next ride and stay safe.

Glad to see that a few newcomer's came out to Eastside Crit tonight. I apologize for not being there tonight. I had family in town and went to visit them because they'll be leaving soon. Will definitely be there next week. I hope to see you guys there!

Well, as some of you have seen the blowing wind and dust is all over the forecast for tomorrow. I don't completely trust meteorologists but I am going to go ahead and cancel the Eastside Crit ride this week. If you want to show up and do laps you are absolutely welcome too. I am, however, gonna sit this one out.

Post below if you still wanna show up and ride in case others want to as well.

Hey guys, I've heard a few are having a hard time finding the exact location of eastside crit every week. Just click the blue hyperlink above that says "About" and it will show you on the map where we ride every week. I hope that helps! See you all this Wednesday.

Eastside Crit is rolling out again tomorrow night! 6:30pm at the Eastside Crit course (just south of the German and Stearman intersection in Chandler) and bring your lights, helmets and fresh legs.

As always we will have a neutral start for a few laps to allow people to get warmed up and others who are running behind to catch up (Nick Wilson you might as well drive this time).

If anyone isn't riding or knows someone that would do us a huge favor by keeping an eye out for traffic at the fenced corner please let me know. Post on here what your favorite beer is and I'll bring you a six pack! See everyone tomorrow night!

Here is the email I received from the city of Chandler regarding the lights:

Hello Cody,

The streetlights on Stearman Dr and around the loop have never been energized, with the new construction going on the business owners are required to have the lights energized, unfortunately we're looking at 6 months before that happens. Any questions please call. Thanks and Have a Great Day.

Also, if anyone knows a wife/girlfriend/sister/mother/cousin or little brother that would be kind enough to work the fenced-off corner I will buy them the beverage of their choice. See you guys tonight!

Eastside Crit riders, I have put in a request to the city of Chandler to turn on the lights on S Stearman Dr (on the Eastside Crit course). According to their website, repairs/adjustments made in that part of town take place on Thursdays. So if this happens we will not see them on this upcoming week, but hopefully this gets taken care of.

Good luck to those racing tomorrow at the South Mountain Bicycle Classic!
