We’ve been in it from the start! 🤙🏽

From the early days when Plasti Dip felt rubbery and had orange peel, through all the evolutions including formula changes, top coats, and other advancements, through new product launches, and even iterations of Autoflex!

Along the way we tested and perfected. And along the way we met a gang of good people. Things are not what they used to be, but I mean that in the best way possible. Just know this, if you’ve written off Plasti Dip because it didn’t impress you, you haven’t seen it used properly. It’s come a long way in the last 10years!

🔥 A U T O F L E X 🔥 - Peelable automotive paint!

Here’s the thing… What we can do with paint today is AMAZING! What’s possible with vinyl is mind blowing! BUT… Each has a flaw.

For paint, you really need to protect it and baby it if you want to preserve the amazing paint job. Often, people go to PPF (paint protection film) for impact protection and ceramic coating for scratch resistant and easy cleaning.

For vinyl, we’ll… it depends on the quality of the film, but it’s definitely not a forever thing like paint. And on top of the quality of film, quality of installer matters just as much! You could end up with lifting corners, tons of seams and even razor cuts on your paint 🫣. And when compared to paint, even the best films on the market fall just shy of that deep, wet gloss clear coat provides.

So what about AUTOFLEX!? Good question! My response is this, AFX (AutoFlex) is a coating option that gives you many of the upsides of paint and vinyl AND PPF!

You get similar gloss levels, but pay a fraction of the cost of a high end paint job. And AFX still allows you to have the option of OEM colors, or custom colors/effects like candy, flake, metallics and pearls.

Yes, it’s still technically temporary like vinyl (and does not require any sanding of the factory finish like paint would) but there are no seams and no risk of knife marks on your paint. Essentially, what you’re getting is customizable PPF that protects your vehicles existing finish!

Our slogan has been “Transform. Protect. Customize.” from the very start, and this is an option that does ALL THREE!!

AFX can be wetsanded and polished just like paint, it can be ceramic coated for easy cleaning, added slickness and gloss, and cared for just like your factory paint. Pretty wild!

- 🇺🇸 HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 🇺🇸 -
It recently dawned on me that I haven’t posted anything in nearly a year. And to be honest, it’s been nice. Social media can be fun and rewarding, but it can also drag you down. So instead of living for likes, we’ve had our heads down working.
Like so many others, these past two years have been quite trying for us. Loads of stress, and tons of growth. So a HUGE thank you to all those who have supported us and been more than patient during our growing pains. It means the world to us!
Through it all, one concept that always keeps me focused is FREEDOM. And maybe that’s why today felt like a fitting day to post.
I know how fortunate I am to have the talent and skills that I do. I know that not everyone gets an “at bat” like this. I know how blessed I was to be born on this particular patch of Earth and be afforded the freedom to pursue my dreams. I don’t take that lightly, and I do my best not to take it for granted.
So today, I choose to be grateful for this imperfect union that is the United States because there’s nowhere I’d rather be 🇺🇸

I’m sure the gold wheels and trim are the first thing you see here, but there was a lot of additional work done to this vehicle to make it pop!
The windows were tinted, the exterior got a nice refresh with a wash, clay bar, polish, and sealant/wax combo, and the headlights were restored.
