Looking through CARFAX reports on some vehicles and I saw where the manufacturer had extended the factory warranty covering the transmission on this vehicle. Anytime you have a major issue with a vehicle it’s always worth a call to a service department even if it’s not still under the factory warranty. All you’ll need is your VIN number. I’ve seen customers get new engines and transmissions put in vehicles that were well outside the factory warranty. And at no cost.

It will only take a few minutes. So make the call. You might get some great news!
