Customer smacked an unruly curb the other day and destroyed the tire.
He swapped the spare on and went to whatever the closest route shop was and got a used tire.

It drove terrible, he blamed the curb and brought it to me to figure out.

Sure enough the let ball joint was sloppy, so we replaced that.
Before doing any alignment, I checked the tire pressure. The replacement tire was at 14psi....

The valve stem and both beads leaked air. The used tire bead is covered in grit from it's previous life.
It was never going to seal.
We dismounted the tire, to clean the bead and replace the valve stem, only to find this giant crack.

Now, I understand people having bad days at work.
This was 3 huge F-ups in one job.

Didn't clean the bead (tire or rim)
Didn't look for damage, even though they were told it ate a curb.
Didn't check for leaks after, which would have caught the valve stem.

Guys n Gals. If you don't like your job. That's fine. Get a different job. Working on cars isn't for everyone.
FN off on your job that wastes people's time, and puts their lives in danger, is not acceptable.

Quit thinking that the world owes you and allow yourself to do s**t work to make it even.

I just caught my prize employee, NAPPING on the job!
She claims that she was resting her eyes on her 15 minute break.... I'm not so sure.

Today, we started wheelie practice class.
This 49yr Mercedes is going through all of the practice motions before it tries it on is own.

Proper wheelie training is always better than just going for it.
