🚗 New Hampshire Vehicle Inspection Update!
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and Department of Safety have issued new guidance regarding the state’s vehicle inspection program while ongoing court proceedings continue.
Here’s a breakdown of what this means for drivers:
🔹 Vehicle inspections are still required
A federal court has ordered the inspection program to continue, and the State plans to appeal that decision.
🔹 Extended deadline to get inspected
If your vehicle inspection expires before March 2026, you now have until April 10, 2026 to obtain a valid inspection.
🔹 Grace period for enforcement
Through April 10, 2026, law enforcement officers statewide are directed to:
• Issue verbal warnings when appropriate
• Not stop vehicles solely for an inspection sticker violation
• Focus enforcement on observable safety and equipment issues
🔹 Safety still matters
Officers may still address unsafe equipment or other violations that pose a risk to public safety.
We’ll share any updates as we get them!
