A lot of people still want to RV. Fewer people feel like they can afford to.
A new Reuters report says the RV industry is now facing its longest spending slump since the Great Recession. Registrations are down nearly 22%. At least one major manufacturer has already cut production schedules after spring sales came in weaker than expected.
But there may be more to the story than just the economy. Some shoppers are pulling back for a reason that has nothing to do with fuel prices or interest rates.
