With all the rain we’ve had recently, some of you may be realizing that you’re not quite as prepared for an Iowa winter as you thought. (Don’t worry, we won’t judge… much.) ❄️

Legacy Automotive prides itself on helping you tackle that seasonal vehicle checklist before the snow starts flying. From new wiper blades and tires to routine maintenance and everything in between, we can be your one-stop shop for getting your vehicle winter-ready!

Your car shouldn’t sound like it’s auditioning for a horror movie. Bring it in before the plot thickens! 👻

And last but certainly not least, we have the brains behind Legacy Automotive! The man, the myth, the legend himself… MASON! 🎉

🎓Graduated from Marion High School in 2012 (go Indians! Aka Wolves!)

🔧Proud owner of Legacy Automotive

🪖Was in the army national guard for 12 years

Likes: Video games, camping, Edgar Allen Poe poems
Dislikes: Mowing, body odor, lettuce

When asked ,“what is one thing you could talk about for hours that nobody wants to hear about?” He replied “Anime”.

A HUGE shoutout to all of you! Without your continued support, we truly wouldn’t be where we are today. Because of you, we get to head into another year of keeping you and your vehicles on the road! We know how hard it can be to find “the guy”-the person you can confidently send your friends and family to when their car starts making that weird noise nobody can explain. That’s why we will always strive to be as honest and up front as possible. No nonsense, no scare tactics-just good people trying to take good care of you and your vehicle.
So, thank you again for trusting us, supporting us, and letting us be “your guy”. And remember...don’t let that weird noise scare you anymore. Just bring it to us. We’ll figure it out😎

Guess what time it is?!

It’s T-SHIRT TIME! 😎

But this time, we’re bringing the whole crew! We’ve added sweatshirts, hats, water bottles AND blankets to the lineup. 🙌

Head over to our new online store and snag all your favorite Legacy Automotive gear! 🛠️🚗

⏰ The store closes October 5th!
Once the store closes, we’ll place the order and expect everything to arrive at the shop about 3 weeks later.

We’ll make a post as soon as everything is in so everyone can make arrangements to come pick up their goodies!

So go ahead… rep your favorite automotive crew. We won’t judge if you wear Legacy gear to the shop while we’re working on your car. 😉

Did you know Legacy Automotive specializes in fleet maintenance? Don’t worry, you don’t need to have a fleet of vehicles to hang with us. We’re happy to take care of our everyday Joe Schmos too! Our one exception? If it’s bigger than a box truck, we’ll have to let someone else take the wheel on that one.

Anyways, let’s meet Hunter and his special helper Zeda!

🎓Graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg in 2017 (go Vikings!)

🔧Been with Legacy for 2 years

🦅🌎Spent 4 years in the Marine Corps

Likes: Crayons, driving his side-by-side, Cummins trucks

Dislikes: Restaurant ramen, mouth breathers, winter

When asked: “Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?” He answered: One horse sized duck, because horses kick and i think i can take on a horse sized duck.

If you see Hunter, there’s a pretty good chance his fluffy sidekick, Zeda, isn’t too far behind! Zeda loves getting in on the action too-especially when there are cars to inspect, flashing lights to investigate, and absolutely zero shortage of butt scratches and pets. She takes her shop duties very seriously, but her real specialty is being adorable and accepting treats from anyone willing to provide them. Give us a call and ask for Hunter or stop by and say hi to Zeda (and maybe bring her a treat). She’ll be waiting!

As we wind down our 3rd year in business, we thought it was about time you got to know the people behind the cars, the coffee, and the occasional “Let’s see what that noise is...”
We’ve been incredibly grateful to get to know so many of you over the years, and now we want to return the favor! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the wonderful crew that makes Legacy Automotive what it is.

Because you’ve trusted us with your vehicles, questions, and sometimes your VERY interesting dashboard lights-the least we can do is put some faces to names.

Without further ado, meet Ben!

🎓Graduated from Kennedy High School in 2014 (go Cougars!)

🔧Been with Legacy since the beginning

1️⃣Has 1 younger sister

Likes: his dog Boji, going to baseball games, traveling

Dislikes: left lane campers, Brussel sprouts, the Greenbay Packers

When asked: “If you were in a zombie apocalypse, what would be your weapon of choice and why?” He answered: Ak-47 for killing efficiency.

So the next time you call the shop or swing by, be sure to ask for Ben! He’ll get you taken care of and have you back on the road in no time. Just tell him we sent you-we promise he won’t hold it against us😉

As you can see, the North Pole is busy working on the finishing touches. The big guy is needing an oil change and overall inspection before he makes his long road trip and we have to make sure his sleigh is in tip-top shape! With that being said, Legacy Automotive will be closing early December 24th at 12pm and closed December 25th-26th to help the elves get Santa ready. We want to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday!
