Yes we know "warnings" are a thing of the past...

The rate at which the snow is falling and accumulating is causing hazardous travel conditions. Please slow down and get to your destination safely.

There are not enough tow trucks to get the vehicles removed quickly. The 10 minutes you are late to your destination will be small in comparison to the couple of hours it will take to get you back on the road. Plus the bill that comes with getting your vehicle back on the road.

Drive safe Sheboygan County!

Move over it is the law!

🚨 National Slow Down Move Over Day – October 19, 2024 🚨

Did you know that failing to move over or slow down for stopped emergency vehicles is not only dangerous—it’s against the law? 🚓🚒🚑

The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office is reminding everyone to protect those who protect you. On National Slow Down Move Over Day, we encourage all drivers to remember the importance of moving over and slowing down when you see flashing lights, emergency vehicles, or roadside workers.

Here’s how YOU can help: 🔹 Move over a lane if it’s safe to do so. 🔹 If you can’t move over, slow down significantly. 🔹 Stay alert, and never drive distracted.

Every year, first responders, law enforcement, tow truck drivers, and other roadside workers are injured or killed by drivers who fail to follow these basic safety rules. Let’s work together to keep everyone safe!

Remember, it's the law and it could save a life. Stay safe out there, Sheboygan County! 🚨
