Why build a straight road when you can build a scenic one? 🌳🛣️

When we started planning our roads and RV sites, we made a strict rule: work with the land, not against it. We are carefully mapping our interior roads to curve around our mature oak and pine trees. Not only does it keep the park looking completely natural, but it guarantees our future guests will have that much-needed Texas shade!

Rain or shine, the progress doesn't stop! 🌧️🚜

Here is a real-time, behind-the-scenes look with Linda at The RV Park at McKinney Roughs!

Even on a rainy day in Cedar Creek, there is plenty to celebrate on-site:
🌧️ Mother Nature at work: The rain is rapidly filling up our future recreational lake!
🚜 Carving the roadways: Heavy equipment is hard at work carving out the slope for our main resort roads.
🏡 Prime lakeside plots: Setting the stage for our lakefront cabins right on the water's edge.

Watching raw land transform into a premier Texas destination phase by phase is incredible.

Moving mountains to build your next getaway! 🚜⛰️

In our latest update from The RV Park at McKinney Roughs, we are taking you up high to see the massive scale of our earthwork operations.

Here is what is happening on the ground:
⛰️ Massive stockpiles: We are separating and storing enormous piles of dirt, gravel, and rock right on the property.
♻️ Net-zero strategy: We are reusing our own excavated gravel for RV pads and road bases, and saving dirt for future landscaping.
💰 Major efficiencies: Favorable soil conditions mean we get to skip the extensive rock cutting! Reusing these materials on-site drastically reduces our construction costs and timelines.

Operating with a near net-zero import strategy is a huge advantage as we transform this raw land into Bastrop County's premier outdoor hospitality destination.

Say goodbye to cramped campsites! 🚐💨

We know exactly what RVers want: easy access and breathing room. That is why we are designing our roads with sweeping curves and massive, easy-to-navigate pull-through sites.

We are making sure you have plenty of space to park your big rig, roll out the awning, and actually enjoy your own private slice of the Texas outdoors.

𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 (𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭) 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐭! 🚜🚧

We are making massive progress on the site! Nearly 25% of the park has already been brought to grade. Even better? We are using a ""net-zero dirt"" strategy. This means all the dirt and rock we excavate for the lake is being reused to build up our roads and cabin sites.

It is efficient, cost-effective, and incredible to watch this raw land transform into a luxury RV destination.

Embracing the curves! 🌳🛣️ Why build a straight road when you can build a scenic one?

In our latest update from The RV Park at McKinney Roughs, we are showing off our future roadway system. Instead of clearing the land, we are intentionally designing our roads around the property's natural beauty!

Here is what is happening on-site:
📍 Mapping the routes: Centerline markers are down to map out our winding resort roads.
🌲 Preserving nature: We are curving the roadways specifically to save our massive, mature trees and maintain the natural character of the land.
🌿 Greening up: The landscape is already looking incredibly lush after recent moisture and site work!

Thoughtful development like this ensures our future guests get a premium, scenic resort environment with plenty of natural shade.
