Back halving this truck dropped a ton of weight off the rear end.

Stock, each rear tire was carrying around 1,100 lbs.
Now the entire back half in full drag race trim only weighs about 1,100 lbs total.
Great for the track. Not so great for the dyno.

The fix? A sled pull style weight rack.
We built it out of 8x8 by 3/8” channel, cut it out on the plasma,
and added bracing so nothing twists once it’s loaded up.

It sits back past the axle on purpose so the weight does the most work.
Now we just hang the plates and let it eat.
