Quadrajet casting straightening, this is standard practice on all QJ carbs built here. This is caused by over tightening the mounting bolts and often occurred at the dealership during the pre sale check. This process strengthens the castings and absolutely no metal is removed.

Quadrajet restoration. This carburetor has had throttle shaft bushings install the air horn and main body have both been straightened on straightening fixture to remove warpage. No metal was removed, new cromate, zinc plating, black oxide, and a replacement to the green Teflon coating.
