If your STACYC is making a deep grinding sound and the bike won’t move, check the 90-degree gearbox. This is what it looks like when the gears inside let go.
The motor may still run, but once these gears strip, it can’t transfer power through the drivetrain.
Getting to the gearbox means stripping down most of the bike and drivetrain. If you’re already in there, replacing the reduction gearbox at the same time is cheap insurance. It can save you the headache of putting everything back together, finding out the reduction gearbox is also bad, and having to tear the entire bike apart again.
