A simple DIY tune-up turned into a major engine repair! 🔧

This Toyota Tacoma came to us after a routine spark plug replacement went south. Unfortunately, the spark plug hole was accidentally stripped during the DIY attempt.

While we always respect owners who want to wrench on their own vehicles, modern aluminum engines require precise torque specs and a very delicate touch. When threads are completely destroyed deep inside the cylinder head, the only safe and reliable fix is pulling the entire top half of the engine apart, as you can see here.

To get this Tacoma back on the road and running perfectly, we removed the damaged unit and sourced a high-quality, pre-tested remanufactured cylinder head.

Pro-Tip: If you are changing your own spark plugs and the plug feels like it is binding or cross-threading—stop immediately! Back it out and assess the situation before forcing it.

The hidden dangers that standard quick-checks miss! 🤯

This BMW M3 came to Boulevard Auto Repair & Performance after the driver experienced severe handling issues and vibrations that multiple other shops couldn't figure out. From a quick glance on the ground, the tires seemed perfectly fine.

But the second we got it on the lift for our complimentary Digital Courtesy Inspection, the real culprit was obvious: massive tread separation and a dangerous tire bulge.

When a tire's internal steel belts and structural cords fail, the tread starts tearing away from the casing. It is a ticking time bomb that can lead to a catastrophic blowout at highway speeds. Because this bulge was on the far inside section of the tire, it was completely hidden while the car was resting on the pavement.
