Our sons don't know it yet, but they aren't going to college...

This Memorial Day Weekend I bought the Gale Anne, a storied 41' Harris Boatworks powered by a single C7. Built on Harkers Island in 1964, she has been in constant charter service for over 60 years. What am I going to do with it? No clue. Will we have fun doing it? TBD.

On the opposite end of the fit and finish spectrum from the Hewes, this old juniper strip boat is getting some love and zero fairing compound, just like she was originally. We've reinforced the transom, painted the exterior with Sage Imron and will finish the inside with Castle Tan Topcoat.

We adjusted the waterline on this Hewes which required re-shooting the hullsides with Ice Blue Awlcraft 3000, adding some barrier coat in places, and re-painting the bottom with Dark Blue AF33.

Played diesel mechanic (a role for which I'm not fit) over the weekend on the Viking and now both engines run! Still some issues on the starboard side and I'm still actively seeking the assistance of a professional. 375HP 3208Ts.

Finished a keel repair, 3 service calls, some paint, and it turns out Memorial Day Weekend is this weekend, not next, whoops!

Another SeaHawk AF33 dark blue bottom job out the door! We also did a couple Awlgrip repairs on the port side. Point out the main paint repair (its about the size and shape of a basketball) and I'll give you a dark blue Gorges Boatworks cup!
