🚛 Driver Safety Alert: International Roadcheck 2026 🚛
This year’s International Roadcheck (May 12–14, 2026) will focus heavily on Cargo Securement and ELD Tampering/Falsification. As a company dedicated to safe vehicle transportation, we want every driver to be prepared and confident during inspections.
Key Focus Areas:
Cargo Securement
* Properly brace, block, and immobilize all vehicles to prevent shifting, sliding, or forward movement.
* Use additional tie-downs when positioning against front-end structures.
* Inspect all chains, straps, wheel chocks, and tie-downs for wear or damage.
* Secure all dunnage, tarps, tools, and equipment.
* Re-inspect loads after the first 50 miles and periodically during transit.
ELD Compliance
* Ensure all logs are accurate and compliant.
* Document any edits properly - never manipulate records to conceal hours-of-service violations.
* Inspectors will be actively checking for falsifications.
At KATS, safety and compliance are non-negotiable. Proper securement protects the vehicles we transport, keeps other road users safe, and helps our drivers stay moving without violations.
Inspectors are a resource - use them. Let’s show the industry how KATS operates: Professionally. Safely. Compliantly.
