You've heard of "don't crowd the plow", also keep in mind the tow truck operators that are out there as well.
Our thoughts are with Jones's family and friends.

Tow op down – Folks, the towing industry has had a bad start to the new year with several tow ops killed while working. Here's the latest: A vehicle lost control and hit tow truck operator Dale Jones, 47, who was helping remove another vehicle from a ditch in Watertown, SD. Here's a statement from the Watertown Fire Rescue: "When we are on-scene our heroes are the wrecker operators, snow plow operators, and anyone else who responds to help first responders. ... Not many know the feeling of sitting on the roadway after an accident hoping you're not the next statistic. People are terribly irresponsible, inconsiderate, or unaware as they pass an accident. ...Please remember that we are all out there to help, to make it safe, we want to go home safe."
