The fuel injection system on your Mercedes-Benz is a critical component to the life of your vehicle. The fuel system can be impacted by many things but most notably the type of fuels you use, age, maintenance upkeep, miles, and driving conditions. Fuel injection problems can result in your Mercedes failing to start or having trouble starting, check engine light appearing, poor gas mileage, stalling, or misfiring. Many of these issues are the result of a fuel injection system that is not properly maintained and as a result, carbon deposits can build up. This is most often caused by your vehicles Exhaust Gas Recirculation that can cause carbon deposits. These carbon buildups soak up the gasoline can cause your car’s computer to think it needs more gas that results in low gas mileage and poor fuel economy. The A/C system in your Mercedes-Benz is vital here in northern California. It dehumidifies and cools down the air circulated in your car using a refrigerant and does not usually require repair. However, when it does, it can be frustrating. If your A/C is not working properly, you will most likely notice a decrease in its ability to cool down your vehicle or it may not even work at all. If you notice either of these issues in your Mercedes, you can trust that our certified mechanics can get it back to peak performance. We offer A/C services for Mercedes-Benz vehicles that include visual inspection, diagnosing leaks and issues, charging (filling up your A/C coolant), and retrofitting your A/C. Retrofitting is only for cars made before 1997 that use the older form of coolant. The coolant that is used today is more environmentally friendly, however, it does not work with the old A/C units. As you take your vehicle into your mechanic, you also get the added benefit of having your mechanic know your specific vehicle. Each vehicle wears a little differently based on the model and how you drive it. These conditions make it important to have someone who knows your vehicle history work on your Mercedes in order to ensure that you are getting the necessary and best service possible. Mercedes-Benz has a specific service guideline for their vehicles called the Mercedes-Benz Flexible Service System or FSS. The FSS is a maintenance series that is set at mileage markers to ensure the best running operation of your vehicle. Service A and B, also known as Flex A and B, are the most common services for your Mercedes. According to Mercedes-Benz, these services should be performed every 12,000 miles alternating between Flex A and B. So, after your first 12,000 miles you should take your vehicle in for a Flex A then at 24,000 miles you should take your vehicle in for Flex B and so on. Flex A is a standard maintenance check-up while Flex B is an extended service.
