This is our Friday night. A guest left lights on in the car by accident. When he went to leave his hotel the battery was dead. We loaded up and headed to his hotel because it was Final Four weekend and the guest was trying to go take his kids to dinner, we knew it would be awhile before Roadside assistance could get to him and we didn't want them to have to wait. This is what we do. We are a small business, who care ! Needless to say the guest will always remember that and said he was amazed that we cared enough to come rescue him after 10 pm on a Friday night. Even if he was a Michigan fan, we were happy to help.

Some days as host for rental cars are rough. But in this case we had a problem with the battery on a car. She was on her way to a funeral with 2 small children. We didn’t hesitate to jump in to get her where she needed to go. We even got to hang with her littles while she moved things from car to car. This message is why we do what we do. We thank her for letting us help her and choosing us.

When you are driving a rental car make sure you do not leave belongings in plain sight. Take them out of the car.

If you are renting a car that you have never driven before. Research the car so you are familiar with how it works. You Tube has a lot of good how to videos. This will help set you up so you have basic knowledge, like how to move the seat, what kind of gas the car takes, or how to use the AppleCar Play or Android Auto.

For instance, Denver airports do not permit hosts to park in the garage.

Upon signing up for Turo, familiarize yourself with the platform's Terms of Service, which outline policies such as the two-hour pickup window. Failure to pick up your vehicle within this timeframe or communicate with your host about potential delays may result in trip cancellation.

It is essential to recognize that Turo does not own the vehicles listed on its platform; instead, they are owned by individuals or small businesses. If you have any questions or concerns about your trip, do not hesitate to reach out to your host via the app. As hosts, our primary objective is to ensure that all guests have a successful and enjoyable experience, not only with our business but also with the broader Turo community.

Just a few tips of renting cars off Turo.

1.) Read all the details of the rental. Know that you are picking your reservation time. The host cannot adjust your reservation time. If you need to extend your reservation time, don’t assume that you can. As soon as you know you need to extend go into the app and extend your trip or send your host a message asking if you can.

2.) Turo bills in 24 hour increments.

3.) Turo will add their fees on top of the daily rate. Don’t ask a host to discount the car. Hosts don’t get the full amount.

4.) If you are renting a car you know nothing about, I would take a few minutes and use You Tube to look up features of the car.

5.) Take out the extra insurance the through Turo.
