Disassembling the rear of the blue 75 Corvette. The customer had just paid a small shop in a small town to replace the rear bearings. They did replace the bearings, but they also turned the spindles down for a much easier "non press fit". Once we removed the spindle nut and fl**ge, the spindle literally fell out. I don't know how many times I have seen this!

Close to wrapping up the rear suspension on the 78 Corvette. Install the strut rods, brakes and sway bar and she's done.

Took the race car out this morning for a quick test after we made a few adjustments and didn't quite make it back. Sheared the left rear spindle in half at the top end of 2nd gear under hard power. Can't believe we didn't break any fiberglass! Everyone is ok and so glad this didn't happen in traffic on the track at speed. And I'm sure you all know we would never do this on public streets and we were on our lot.

Keeping the streak going this week for clean, low mileage cars is this 71 Cadillac Eldorado with 29k mi., needs carb. rebuilt and A/C Compressor clutch replaced. This tank has a 500ci engine!!
