Since 2011, Building R, on the Carlisle Fairgrounds, has been home to the Renault Owners Club Also over the same period we have organized displays for the Carlisle Import Show, More recently we have met a number of enthusiasts of Romanian built automobiles. So back in 2021 we had our first combined Renault and Dacia display to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Renault 12. In the end we had a total of eight vehicles, which drew large crowd throughout the weekend.

Following that successful display, we received numerous request to expand the display, but not to just feature one marque of cars, but to open it up to any and all Cars of former Eastern Bloc countries. So I convinced the Organizers at Carlisle Events to give us the area adjacent to our indoor displays for this unique exhibit. Last year, we put together a display of the various Eastern Bloc cars and billed the gathering, Cars of the Eastern Bloc @ Cars of the Eastern Bloc at Carlisle
For this year’s Cars of the Eastern Bloc, we have decided, to celebrate all marques that were or are still built in the former Eastern Block nation of Romania. Cars that will be featured in this display include: ARO, Dacia and Oltcit. But we aren’t only looking for cars built in Romania. So if you have car that was made in the USSR or any of the former satellite nations make your plans to join us May 11-13th in Carlisle, PA for what will be the second installment of many Cars of the Eastern Bloc @ Carlisle gathering.

However, for us Carlisle isn't just a car show, it is also a way to give
back and every year we do a toy drive for Toys for Tots. So everyone who attends we encourage you to bring an unwrapped toy, or make a comparable donation to this great cause.

We are excited to offer this year's event poster for the Cars of the Eastern Bloc display we are hosting at Carlisle. Posters are $10 at the show but anyone who wants to pre-order can get them for $8. All proceeds from the poster sales goes to Toys for Tots. Anyone who will not be able to attend and would still like a poster, I will figure out shipping cost, so message me with your request. It is going to be a great event and we can't wait to see everyone.
