Customers, friends, family... I have the very unfortunate responsibility to inform everyone that Hummel's Auto is closed. The landlord of the building where i operated had decided that his building would be better utilized without me and my crew there. The only official reason given for not continuing to lease to me was that they were displeased with my "house keeping". Instead of coming to me and presenting me with the option of leaving I was given a 30 day notice under the premise that if X, Y, and Z were taken care of we could discuss things further. Towards the end of the 30 days I attempted to contact them to let them know what had been done and what steps were taken to remedy the rest. My attempt was met with no answer or return call ( though it wasn't truly necessary there office is directly across from where my shop was ). Thirty three days exactly after the notice was given I received a letter from the local District Justice stating that an eviction was filed, two days after the 30 day notice was issued. I had made attempts to try and postpone the eviction as long as possible to little or no success. 30 days wasted, work that should have been done not even started and now financially strained I had little time to do anything but back to work and do as much as possible before the inevitable. As of the 6th of this month i have moved nearly everything from that property to storage and am currently looking for another location. I am not certain it will be happening any time soon given that money is thin and the market for commercial property isn't kind at the moment. I will do what I am able to continue to service customers cars in the up coming winter months. Sincere thanks to every single customer I have thoroughly enjoyed the past 5 years and hope to be back up and running as soon as possible.
Sincerely
Jesse
