This car came to the shop because it would no longer run. As you can see, the bracket the body harness rubed (chaffed) against is round, smooth, and painted, which begs the question. How long has this had to have taken too do this kind of damage? Anyone?

So, I admire even respect the willingness of the "do it yourselfer" to solve a problem that is a bit out of one's area of expertise. I don't recommend doing it like this. And I question the use of open alligator clips.
However, the problem they ran into is now that not only one lamp is out, but now both headlamps failed. If you must run both headlamps from one circuit, it is recommended to use a relay and fuse from the working side. This will prevent the overheating and eventual failure of the working circuit. (Note the picture of the melting lamp socket)

This is the worst rodent nest I have ever seen.
I am not even sure how they drug the plastic bags past the kick panel cover to above the BCM.
Debated whether or not to even show the customer these pictures.
