🚨 Fatal hit-and-run Investigation🚨

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that happened on Friday, May 8, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on CR 2501 in Van Zandt County (see photo for location).

The pedestrian was walking south on CR 2501 and was struck by an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction of travel. Anyone with information regarding this fatal hit-and-run crash is urged to contact the Texas Department of Public Safety at (940) 327-9122.
