This was an extremely difficult decision to make but after nearly 16 years we will not be allowing people who don’t have an existing appointment to park in our lot anymore. We’ve always tried to be more than accommodating to those attending a sporting event at the Cannelton Community Center across the street but after an increasing number of instances over the past couple of years and more recently two volleyball games where customer vehicles to be picked up after hours were unfortunately blocked in or tow trucks unable to drop off this decision has been made. We really do hate it as we recognize the limited amount of parking close by but it has become necessary to take action.

After a particularly busy Tuesday it was nice to relax and spend some time enjoying a local volleyball game yesterday evening at the Cannelton Community Center across the street. One of the wonderful things about belonging to such an active community is that there are school games to watch nearly every evening in the area. Whether you enjoy football, baseball, basketball or even soccer, depending on the season there is something for everyone. For the past 16 years supporting local student athletes has always been more than just writing a check and forgetting about it. I also attended many games at all area schools including Hancock County right across the Ohio River in Kentucky quite regularly with my family throughout the year. It’s always nice getting the opportunity to visit with many customers out of the shop and cheer on our teams. It is also how a large number of them have become more than someone paying me to repair their vehicles but more importantly a friend.

In the nearly 30 years as an automotive technician (16 of those as a shop owner) I’ve always installed the very best quality parts available in every single vehicle. Unfortunately it has cost a few repairs over the years but I refuse to sacrifice my customer’s safety, money, trust in me and above all my integrity just to make a profit.

Did you know that most if not all new hybrid vehicles like this 2025 Toyota Camry that we had in here yesterday has a separate air filter for the battery cooling system. A considerable number of hybrid vehicles regularly visit here and we have added the battery filter to our extensive inspection list.
