The world’s most popular classic. In 1957, the Chevy Bel Air received a minor face lift, including new wide-chromed grille, hood rockets, front bumper bullets, rear tail-fins, and new dashboard. Similar to the 1957 Cadillac, the rear fenders got tall but stylish tail-fins. To keep the clean lines of the car, the fuel-filler door was concealed in the left rear fin. The upscale Bel Air Series featured gold trim on the front grille, front fender chevrons, and also the hood and trunk script. The v-shaped trim on the tail-fins were filled with a ribbed aluminum insert exclusive to Bel Air. This 1957 Bel Air has had a full body off restoration finished in its original turquoise and white color. All metal is original to the car, along with numbers matching 283 CI V-8 engine with 63,000 miles, automatic transmission, and drive train. The car has rare factory air conditioning and power brakes. The second owner purchased the car from the original lady owner in Maryland. Later he had the car professionally restored using genuine GM parts of the highest quality. When the car was appraised, we were told it was the BEST 1957 Chevy Bel Air restoration ever seen in his 40+ years of car appraisals.
